Ruffling Feathers

Ruffling Feathers is a short documentary about Madelaine Scott, a young egg farmer and animal rights activist.

Madelaine started her own ethical, sustainable egg business when she was 8 years old, at 19 she crowdfunded a $60,000 egg sorting machine and at 21 she was nominated for Australian Egg Farmer of the Year.

But business is tough even for this old hand and Madelaine faces a battle to stay afloat whilst sticking to her principles.

Madelaine’s inspiring story shows that ethical and sustainable food solutions are possible if you work hard enough, whatever your age.

This film was made in mid-2015 with NCDFREE and festival21 and features Madelaine Scott of Hollyburton Farm, in Victoria, Australia.
